Scaredy Cat

So I've been looking for over a year for pillows to go on the love seat in the front living room and I finally found then at target today. I put them out while Piper and her friend Dixie were outside so they had no idea they were there. This is what I saw when they wandered in there and found them! Such scaredy cats!

Chocolate!!!

Well, once again it's taken me quite a while to get another post up. I've got to get better at this blogging thing! A few weekends ago, some girl friends from church and I went for a "Girls Night" at this awesome chocolate factory in Grapevine, TX. We had such a blast. Here's some fun pictures of the night! We also had a contest to build a house of chocolate! Both teams assembled them in the same amount of time and both stood up to the shaking test! We tied!

Football Season has Begun!

Yesterday marked the first day of the 2008 Football Season! 2-a-day practices started this week, which means early mornings for my awesome husband. Here he is leaving with his coffee in hand at 5:15 am!!! This was quite a shock to both of us after being able to "sleep in" a bit over the summer. However, he was ready to get started no matter what time it meant getting up!

Here he is rolling out at a not so bright, but definitely early 5:15! Did you know it was this dark in morning?!?! :-)

Silly Piper!

On Saturday, Piper and her friend Dixie did not play together so Piper wasn't sure what to do with herself. While I was watching a show on HGTV she went in her crate to take a nap. When I went to check on her this is what I found. You can see the door is wide open and she did not have to be in there, but this is how she chose to take her afternoon nap! Silly Piper!

Sweet Babies!!

Here's sweet Baby Bryce and sweet Laney Bug! I got to hang out over at Rita and Kevin's house with my mom to give Kevin a little break the week before last. It was such a great day! I will have to get better about posting pictures more quickly next time!

Mom and I gave Bryce a bath while I was there. This was the first time I've ever given a baby a bath! It was challenging, but it was really fun!All clean!
While Bryce was getting his bath, Sweet Laney Bug was falling fast asleep! Look at her dainty little hands...I see dancing in her future! :-)
I'm getting to hold both of them at the same time in the glider. This is the most comfortable chair ever!

I can't wait to go see them tomorrow! I get to help take care of them and I absolutely can't wait!!

Happy 2nd Anniversary!

Jeff and I decided that we would go to Hot Springs, AR for our anniversary this year! We had the best time...just relaxed and enjoyed every moment together! This is a picture of our hotel The Arlington. We really liked our stay.

We thought it was so cool that they had actual keys to the doors! No place has real keys anymore!

The second night, our first night to go out, we went to an Italian restaurant and enjoyed the dinner very much. Afterward we hung out in front of the hotel. This picture was taken by me!

We took this picture of our hotel when we went to visit the mountain view tower. If you look at the right you can see the pool and hot tub area in the side of the mountain! It was really cool! The hot tub was filled with water from the hot springs and had to be mixed with cold water so it wouldn't burn us when we got in.

After the tower and lunch, it started to rain. We went back to the hotel and threw around some ideas on what to do. While we were thinking the rain stopped!!! We headed to the Garvan Woodland Gardens and saw some very beautiful scenery. This was my favorite thing we saw and I know Jeff's was the fish I got to feed! :-)

After walking around the gardens we went back to get cleaned up for dinner. We ate at Brick House Grill. We enjoyed our steaks and had a great waitress. She took this picture for us.

Before leaving Hot Springs we had to eat at McClard's for lunch. This is the famous bar-b-q place that former President Bill Clinton had food shipped from to the White House. It was very yummy!!

I just had to share this beautiful picture! We saw this as the sun was setting on our second day. This was such a perfect reminder of how beautiful our God is!

For this child I prayed...

On Sunday our friends Carolyn and Drew had a shower to get ready for their soon arriving baby boy Rhodes Andrew Herndon. The shower was such a special time of prayer and celebration for the growing Herndon family. Here's Carolyn at the shower...what a happy mom-to-be!!

While the girls were at the shower the boys were at the house getting the yummy food ready with Carolyn's dad. We went back to the house and enjoyed dinner and visiting! A great end to a busy weekend!

Let's Get Together!

Last Friday and Saturday Jeff and I went to Houston for Wilma's (my mom-in-law) family reunion! We got to see so manny people and had such an awesome time! We loved getting to visit with family that we don't get to see very often! This picture includes my mom and dad-in-law, Jeff and Wilma, all of Wilma's siblings and their spouses that were at their reunion, some of Jeff's cousins and Jeff's big brother Tony and his wife Robyn. Other family members and close family friends were there as well.
