10 Months Old!!!

It is amazing to me that Hunter is 10 months old...I am trying to hold on to every moment, but it still seems to be slipping away so quickly. We love him more and more every day and pray he continues to grow and be healthy!

Oh...my Bible on the table...I think I might go for it!
I'm ready to get down now, thank you!
Are we still trying to take a picture?
Here's a sweet boy being still for a moment!
Trying to get one more shot...but he's too fast for me!

Something to consider...

While "blog-hopping" today as Hunter was going down for a nap I came across and wonderful article that challenged me! What is my perspective in parenting my sweet boy...if you are interested in the article you can read it here. I would look at it if I were you, but that's just me! :)

Going to the lake...

On Sunday morning, since we go to church on Saturday evenings, we decided to head to Lake Lavon with Hunter and have a picnic breakfast! I baked cinnamon rolls for Jeff and myself, made Hunter's cereal and banana, gathered the rest of our supplies and were out the door. Even at 8:30 in the morning it was warm, but we enjoyed the outing so much. Hunter LOVES being outside so we weren't surprised that he had fun. After breakfast and hanging out a bit we packed back up and were on the road headed home to lay Hunter in bed for his morning nap. It was awesome and I think we may be doing this more often!

Hunter and Daddy in the back of the car hanging out before we eat!
Hunter eating his breakfast in his stroller...close enough to a highchair!
Daddy showing Hunter the lake...he loved when the boats went by.
It's hard to tell because I couldn't get super close without distracting Hunter, but Jeff bent down to let Hunter's feet dangle in the grass...Hunter was extremely curious about the grass! It was a super cute moment that I didn't want to miss!
(NOTE: I posted within 3 days of us going...it's a good start for not getting behind!!!)

And with that...

we are officially caught up!!! I am once again pledging to keep up better with our pictures and the events that are happening in our life! I SO hope to follow through because updating so much at once is not easy! :) Blessings to all of you!

Another favorite thing...CHEERIOS!!!

Hunter loves Cheerios! I am probably the over cautious mom that only gives him one at a time and makes sure he swallows before giving him another one...BUT just for fun I put a bunch on his tray to see what he would do. This was the look I got...

I took some away and this is what happened...much better!
Full tummy...Happy boy!!!

The Dishwasher...one of Hunter's new favorite things!

I was doing dishes the other day and Hunter was playing with the tupperware when he crawled right over my feet to get to the dishwasher. When I got back about 2 seconds later with the camera he had already gotten a fork out of the basket!
Look Mom...I'm standing!
I love the belly and the chubby legs!
Banging the fork and having so much fun!
LOVE THIS FACE!!!!
Now every time I open the dishwasher Hunter wants to stand up on the door! We are having so much fun with him each and every day!!!

Hunter's 1st Haircut!!!

Last Saturday we brought our sweet boy to get his first haircut. If you've seen some of my recent updates you know why we did. It was SO long on top and was just a mess after naps! Jeff was totally ready and I was a little nervous...thankfully Jeff was right and it turned out wonderfully! They even made a keepsake card with a small baggie of clipped curls and a before and after picture! Here are some of the ones I took! (Ok...I ended up posting ALL of the ones I took!!! I just couldn't choose...he's so cute!!!)
Getting ready for Vanessa to cut his hair!
Hey Mom!
Dad giving Hunter a little pep talk before hand...Hunter seemed excited.
LOVING the steering wheel of the car.
Look Dad...I'm doing a great job!
Looking like such a big boy!
Mohawk!!!
Looking around the salon...it was just for kids and really colorful!
Watching Elmo on the TV for about...3 seconds.
Tasting the cape...not so great.
That's a happy face if you were wondering!
Not sure what he's doing, but it's cute!!
This too is a very happy face...he did so well for the first time!!!
Trying the cape one more time...still not so great!
All done...checking out the cutie pie in the mirror!
I am so thankful we did it that day so Dad could be with us!

Dinner with friends!

We recently got to have dinner with some sweet friends of ours that we don't usually get to see very often. We enjoyed a yummy dinner at Cheesecake Factory and had a coupon to enjoy a piece of cheesecake for $1.50! It was even better at a $1.50!!!

Drew, Carter and Jeff
Me, Hunter, Drew's mom, Lily, Julie and Carolyn
Visiting is not quite the same with 2 little ones at the table, but it was a treat to see our friends! We hope that we can get together again sooner than later!!!

In the dog house...

Hunter has started crawling ALL over the place and has developed a fascination with Piper's crate. Here he is discovering it for the first time.
A few days later he was really brave! I managed to capture it from start to finish!
Piper was making sure that everything was ok with the situation.
Trying to get over the "ledge" at the bottom.
Using the "plank" move once again!
Succcess!
Complete success!
So curious he wouldn't even look at the camera! Piper continued to make sure everything was ok!
Needless to say I now lock the top latch on Piper's crate after I get her up in the morning! This was too cute not to capture at least once!!!

4 Wonderful, Amazing, Fun, Spectacular....Years

This year was our 4th anniversary!!! Can you believe it's gone by so fast?? I am so blessed to have spent the last 4 years being Jeff's wife and partner in life. Some days the overwhelming feeling of joy hits me and I can't help but thank the Lord for the husband He chose for me.

To celebrate we went to dinner (just the 2 of us) for the first time since Hunter was born. Rita, Kevin, Bryce and Laney entertained Hunter for us to go. (He did great by the way!) We had a yummy steak dinner at Sullivan's complete with dessert and coffee. I will admit we spent quite a bit of the time talking about our sweet boy. :)

Here are couple pictures from our night out!
