2 Month Check-Up

On Monday, Hunter had his 2 month check-up at the pediatrician.  He did very well getting his shots.  He did cry, but calmed down within a minute after being picked up and loved on a bit!  Here are his stats: Weight: 12 lbs. 15 oz. (practically 13 lbs.) - 70%
Height: 23 1/2 in. - 50-75%
Head: 15 1/2 in. - 25-50%

I tried to balance Hunter like I did for his 1 month picture, but he is much more wiggly this month and I was nervous since I was by myself.  Here's a few pictures of our little man at 2 months old!

We fall more in love with Hunter every day!  He is such an amazing blessing and we are so thankful the Lord picked us to be his mommy and daddy!!!

Just some cute pictures of Hunter!

He's getting so strong!  Check out how he can lift his head!

Hanging out with Daddy after work!

My attempt to catch a smile!  He smiles much bigger than this, but I haven't caught it on camera yet!
These are Daddy's favorite pj's for Hunter.  We thought we better get a picture sooner than later because he's almost too long for them already!

Thanksgiving 2009...Hunter's 1st!!!

This was our first family holiday since Hunter was born.  We went over to my parents' house for a late lunch.  I had all kinds of expectations for what I wanted to happen (family pictures, everyone getting to hold Hunter, Hunter sleeping so we can sit and eat with everyone), but the Lord taught me I just need to be content with whatever happens and not be disappointed in myself for not meeting the expectations I set for myself.  With a baby things will not always turn out the way I think they will at the beginning.  These are the only pictures that were taken that day...thanks to my sister!!!

This is when we first got to my parents.  He had such a cute outfit on and looked like such a big boy!

Here's sweet Laney playing with some toys.  She's getting so big and is so close to walking!!!

Here's sweet Bryce looking so cute in his little vest!

Daddy holding Hunter while Rita and Bryce are checking him out!

Here's Laney waving bye to Hunter as we're getting ready to go home!

We're so thankful for the time we got to spend together over the holiday!  We're definitely looking forward to seeing Jeff's family soon!!!

Hunter's 1st Football Game!

Yesterday, Jeff had his first playoff game this year.  I haven't been to a game since Hunter was born, so we decided to try to bring him to a portion of the game.  Everything worked out perfect!  I fed him at home and then we (Hunter, Aunt Robyn who was visiting from Houston, and me) got in the car and headed to Standridge Stadium (where my high school played back in the day)!  We met my mom, sister and Bryce at the game too!!!  We arrived in the 3rd quarter and saw all of the most exciting plays of the game!  The "home" team was down 3 to 16.  At the end of the 4th quarter we had made it 16 to 19...only down by 3 with 2 seconds left and the ball on the 2 yard line.  We kick a field goal and we're going to overtime!!!  The other team scores a touchdown and we match them....BUT the "home" team goes for 2 and the WIN!!!!  We get the 2 point conversion and we are playing next weekend!  The crazy thing is Hunter slept the ENTIRE time...even with all the cheering at the end!!!  He's such a great baby!!!  Jeff was SO thrilled to win AND have his son there for the first time!!!  All of us had such a great time!!!  Here are some pics!!!

Touchdown!!!!

We'll have to see what game time is next weekend before we decide if we're going to go...I hope it works out!!!

Newborn Pictures!!!

Ok...so I have been trying to decide what my favorite newborn pictures are to post.  It is just so hard b/c I LOVE all of them!!!  Erica did such a wonderful job!!!  Be sure to check out her website...you might even see the cutest little baby boy ever in the newborn section!!! (That's Hunter in case you were wondering!) :)  I may post more later if my "favorites" change!

1st 2 weeks!

Wow!  Time is flying by so quickly!  Hunter is already 2 weeks old!  I just can't believe it!  He's already growing and changing.  Here's what's been going on the last 2 weeks.

Tuesday, October 13, 2009 - Hunter's Birthday
He weighed 8 lbs. and was 19 1/2 in. long.

We got to come home from the hospital on Thursday.  Jeff was able to be off from school, but had to coach Thursday and Friday night.  We listened to the game Friday night since we were not able to go to the game.  It was VERY hard to miss Jeff's games the last two weeks.  Here are some pictures from Hunter's first two weeks!  Hope you enjoy!

Hunter had his two week well check this week and weighed in at 8 lbs. 9 oz. (40%) and was 20 7/8 in. long (50 %).  His head measured 14 3/8 in. (40%).  We are so thankful for such a healthy growing boy!  He is such a blessing!!!

We had newborn pictures taken of Hunter on his original due date.  That will have to be another post.  There are so many cute pictures it will take me a while to pick the ones I like best to post.  Hopefully I can get them up soon for you to see!

Hunter's Arrival

UPDATE!!!
At yesterday's appointment we had our last sonogram and it showed a very healthy baby boy, once again!  With the measurements they took they're estimating Hunter weighs about 7 lbs. 6 or 7 oz!  I had progressed again since last week and I'm definitely dilated to a full 3 cm!  Early Tuesday morning (unless the Lord allows Hunter to come before then) we will head to the hospital for our induction!  This is the last weekend to not be official parents...wonder what we'll do...REST as much as possible!!!  We'll let you know when our little miracle arrives!

Well, Jeff and I are fast approaching the arrival of our sweet baby boy!  If Hunter does not come on his own this week, we are going to be induced on Tuesday morning...just one week from TODAY!  We are very excited and full of anticipation!  It's hard to believe that the day is almost here and our lives will never be the same again!  Stay tuned for any updates!

Old Friends...

It is always so nice to get caught up with friends that I haven't seen or talked to in a while.  Well I recently got to do just that.  My friend Kelli and I met for lunch and got to catch up on everything that's been going on with us.  One CRAZY thing is that we are both pregnant and due within days of each other!!!  It was so cool to find out that our babies will be born so close to each other.  Of course we had to get a few pictures before leaving!!!

It was so fun getting to see each other after such a long time.  Next time we get together we'll have to have our husbands and our little ones join us!

36 weeks...Can you believe it?

This week's appointment went very well! We had another sonogram and Hunter looks fantastic. With all the measurements they took they are estimating that he weighs about 6 lbs. 7 oz.!!! I was very excited to hear he is such a healthy boy! I also found out that I am already 2 cm dilated!!! I didn't know what to expect so I was a little surprised when the dr. told me. He is starting to drop which is exactly what should be happening. Everything is looking great as we head toward welcoming our little blessing!!! Now for what you're probably wanting more than just me talking...sonogram pictures! We didn't get any 3-D ones because he's too squished in there now for anything to really turn out, BUT we did get some cute ones! Here you go!!

Hunter has found his thumb! You can see his left hand coming up from the bottom and stuck in his mouth. His little nose is right above his hand.
The cutest little toes ever!!! There are 5...the pinkie toe is just squished up against the others. Can't wait to see these little feet that I've been feeling for so long!!!
We'll keep you updated on what's happening over the next few days or weeks!!!

34 weeks already!

Can you believe we are already 34 weeks along?!?!? It's hard for me to believe that it's almost time for Hunter to join us! I just can't wait to hold him and kiss his sweet face! During the sonogram this week the sonographer showed me how squished our little man is! With the regular view you can see how close his little nose to the side!

And with the 3-D or 4-D (whatever you call it) you can really see his nose squished flat on the tip! Poor guy! You can also see that his little cheeks are really getting chubby!

We are so blessed to have such a healthy little man! We pray that this blessing continues after he's born!

Fall Friendship Dinner at Prestonwood

It's been a few weeks, BUT the Women's ministry at church had a great dinner and speaker for the women at the church. I was so excited because my awesome sister was able to come to the dinner with me! I loved getting to visit with her and enjoy a great evening together! We get to see each other pretty often, but it was extra fun doing something like this that we haven't gotten to do before!
All the girls at our table. Props to our host, Becky, who decorated our table! It was beautiful and totally got me in the mood for Fall! I love this time of year!

Baby Shower on August 22nd!

A few of my sweet girl friends had another shower for us on August 22nd. Jeff and I met the girls and their husbands when we were first married. We are so blessed to have friends like them!!!

Kelley made a banner of Hunter's name and also decorated the mantle with fun sports items!
Once again, all the yummy food the girls prepared to fit with my "diet". The Oreo balls were awesome! ALSO, you can see the diaper cake decorated with FLORIDA GATOR items for Hunter. Jeff thought this was awesome!!! It will be fun to dress Hunter in his Gator Gear and watch them play with Dad!!!
This is a blanket Rita gave us that says "I am wonderfully made." Psalm 139:14 This will definitely be the blanket we use in Hunter's carrier when we leave the hospital with him for the 1st time! I just love it!
My friend Julie and I showing off the baby bellies. (I am 31 weeks here...and yes...the belly has grown since then too!) She and her husband were married right after Jeff and I were and they are pregnant with their first child, Lily Faith, and due a few weeks after us! How fun is that! We were so surprised when we found out we were due so close together!
Sarah, me, Lindsay and Kelley! Lindsay is pregnant with their 2nd child, Conner William, and due a few weeks after us as well! Gotta LOVE baby boys!!!
Thank you girls for such a great afternoon to celebrate our son who will be here soon! Each of you are a true blessing in my life!

Baby Shower on August 8th!

So it's taken me a bit to get pictures up, but I'm glad to get to post them now. My sister Rita and long-time friend Erin gave us a shower at my sister's house. Here are the pictures!

This is a diaper wreath Rita made. We decided not to take it apart yet and bring it to the hospital to hang on the door after Hunter comes! Isn't it too cute!

Rita also made a banner with Hunter's name.

All the yummy food Rita and Erin had for the shower. They were so sweet and made sure I had plenty of choices to choose from to fit my "diet"!
This WAS the baby belly at 29 weeks...it's definitely grown since then! :)
My mom-in-law Wilma (G Mama), Me and my mom Debbie (Grandma) at the shower!
Erin, me and Rita!
At the end of the shower my step-dad Paul, Jeff and my dad-in-law Jeff came to the house to see all the wonderful gifts that people gave us. It was SO awesome to have both sets of grandparents there to celebrate Hunter! We didn't know if Jeff's parents and brother Tony and sister-in-law Robyn would be able to make it in town, but they did! It was such a great day!!!

My grandparents came to the shower along with my Aunt Connie, cousin Heather and her daughter Zoe. Here is my Papa and Nana, Rita with Bryce, me with Laney, and Heather with Zoe. We worked hard to get a picture with everyone looking in the same direction!
And you can see that everyone was DONE!!!
It was a fantastic day celebrating Hunter with family and friends. Our son is so blessed to have so many people that love him already!!!
